Beyond The Pond Chapter Two.

Chapter Two : Every Quell's Desire.

We were on road to the Queen's palace and I'm secretly dreading seeing Annabella. We haven't spoken since the drama with Alice catching us out and I know she was angry about it.

Well, he had a long tiring walk to worry about that, so he decided to focus on his surroundings and listening closely and carefully to every little noise.

Alice was hovering a bit above my head stretching her wings, her dark shadowy silhouette looming above me. Alice was like my map in this world, she flew in the sky and followed the winding paths and found me shortcuts or more importantly enemies and monsters.

In reality, the only real enemy out here were the Quell. They are all made of stone and are ruthless killing machines, they hunt in Colonies and have technology far more advance than man.

My own gun was made by a Quell- I stole it from a Quell corpse, that thanks to Alice and her senses, I managed to shoot from a distance but without Alice, that Quell would of claimed my life and choked me with it's bulbous hands.

You see, that's how the quell are. They are strong but slow and commonly unintelligent, the intelligent Quell will be the higher ranks that's how the system is for the Quell society. The Quell use their brutish strength to typically strangle because with their huge fists and stone flesh it'd be all to easy to choke a creature's life from it's neck but many use technology and guns like my own to fight the world.
