Opening to the Light

I beat my feet into the concrete tar and stones grind my feet thankful for Hoka shoes

A cushion in between me and the hard scrabble pebbles grind into sand mix with water and pour

I push to the Light and smash away from darkness

Happy laughter accompanies those who trust and wear faith as a badge hot emotions push tears into tear canals and water spills

Brother tree beckens me to his side offering comfort reminding me I am of Earth as he is

I thank the tree for loving me with its being this is the medium that was His Cross

He loved it and thanked the tree He kissed it and caressed that holy wood

It being His throne and His bed

So it is mine I pray to be strong to have the courage to kiss it just like Him
