Least Expect II

It is better to heed a warning

than ignore it

Some of us learn after multiple stumbling or fumbling ‘cuz we were deaf and blind for a time After you have put away fear—hope dawns and its clear what is seen through the eye of a needle

Getting into and out of the tunnel is what matters since in darkness everything is a tall universe balancing on top of your head like an overgrown bean stalk

Not knowing how wide or deep that empty space is you are certain that the purpose of life is not found at the bar or the spa nor in money bags that hang from your closest confidant

Your heart occupies a vocation like a global positioning system that reveals where you are on earth if you can bear the words that come from deep calling to deep this will be your ground zero

Will you now spend the rest of your life clinging to that soft spot in real time where you will join the throng the long line the thread that is forever fraying yet somehow remains in tact

It will not be of your own doing since you follow as best you can twists and turns in the road only to encounter another day announcing like a trumpet those who mourn the dead

Begin again

Walk through an open door into a room with out walls while the universe patiently awaits your arrival

If you happen to miss the deadline don’t be beaten down

I say this to myself since I am prone to beatings that I inflict upon myself when I miss a measure The fanfare well known beginning with a hollow thundering of the deep bass of the kettle drum

Slowly it lessons and fades into the background while all manner of instruments unknown strike up a familiar chorus the “….get up off the floor two step!”

Rumba, Salsa or Cuban, what be your delight

Soon it will resolve into a harmony that is rarely found on earth or so it is told to be said

Until you unearth the ground on which you stand the global positioning system will fail to reveal the Good in you

All this to say when you least expect you will bear witness to a miracle awaiting to happen all along
