Eve Reflecting on the First Bite

In hindsight I realize

I am afraid I know too much

I apply uranium into a whole ton of ore

I eat the first bite of the apple from the middle garden

Atoms and molecules in free flight frighten me

It is enough already I swallow and pass it on

Oh motion of atoms your extreme violence punishes

I cannot fathom a second bite my heart now anxious

Molecular movement determines my body heat

From this apple of all desirable knowledge

Fire ice by nature I command

Under pain of death I know good and evil

Eyes now open I see my naked darkness
